Event worker / Cooking Role 25-40 hours per week
We’re excited to invite a friendly, motivated individual to join our Soul Fries family! Starting May 1, we’re looking for one dedicated event staff member to work with us at events across the South West and throughout the UK.
This is a long-term opportunity—not just a seasonal gig—to gain hands-on experience in the street food industry and grow with our expanding business. While prior experience in cooking, street food, or event work is a bonus, we provide full training and certification.
We’re simply looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who’s eager to get involved and commit to the entire summer season and beyond.
Key Details:
• Trial & Training: Begins in April
• Employment Start: May 1
• Expected Hours: 25-40 hours per week guaranteed year-round, with the potential for additional hours during summer events
• Shift Pattern: Mostly Wednesday through Sunday, with a rotating schedule (mostly evenings and weekends during peak season from early May to end of September, with flexibility outside peak season)
Compensation & Benefits:
• Above living wage pay based on experience
• Full-time contract with holiday pay, pension contributions, and a bonus scheme
Free meal / food on shift and staff socials.
Requirements:
• Must be 21+
• A clean driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required and you must be comfortable driving stock vans to and from event sites

Summer Casual Event Staff!!
We are on the look out for casual summer workers - Lots of hours starting from the end of May/ beginning of June and running until the end of September. The job role is casual working mostly afternoon/evenings - between the days of Thursday to Sunday. Last minute shifts come up on other days as well!
Really casual fun job! We work at breweries, pop ups, weddings/ private events and festivals all around the South West. Some Festival work will take us further afield but travel expenses and accomodation will be provided for these!
This role is ideal for someone wanting to earn some extra money during the summer months with a flexible shift pattern. Some weeks you might work all four days (or even more depending on festival work) and others you might have multiple days off. Monthly rota will be provided so you know when you will be working!
Lots of hours going during the core summer months. Trial shifts starting in April and May job offers being made by the middle of May at which point you will be required to sign up for the full summer period (June - September) and complete a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certifcate (arranged by us).
No experience needed. All training provided. You will need to hold or complete a level 2 Food Hygiene Certifcate (which we can arrange) and you just need to be reliable and have a can do attitude, keen to work hard and get involved with everything we do!
Must be 18+ years old and have access to own transport or be willing to travel, as we require you to meet us on site or our prep unit in Brislington - BS4.
Key tasks:
Listening to instructions from managers at each event.
Taking orders/ payment and serving customers with a friendly smile.
Helping set up/ break down our gazebo units.
Basic food preparation and food service.
Cleaning up after an event on site and back at our prep unit.
